Little is known about the effects of long-term regular vaping on respiratory health, especially in the absence of any smoking history. CoEHAR and other recognized global research entities have conducted short and medium-term studies regarding the effects of vaping on people who switch from smoking to nicotine vaping devices. Therefore, extensive long-term prospective studies of well-characterized e-cigarette users without a history of tobacco smoking are needed. This pilot study could determine the viability of assembling a numerous cohort to evaluate such health effects through a global online survey. The study How will the VERITAS study be conducted? Do you want to know if e-cigarettes are good or bad for your health? Join our online study and help us find out the truth! We are looking for 500 people in six regions of the world who has been using e-cigarettes for at least three months and have never smoked or used any other tobacco products. We are also looking for people who have never used e-cigarettes nor smoked in their life. We will ask you some questions about your health status, the type of e-cigarette you use and the flavors you prefer. You can join the Veritas Cohort Study if you meet the following criteria: You are 18 years or older You live in one of the six regions of the world where the study is conducted You have been using e-cigarettes for at least three months and have never smoked or smoked less than 100 cigarettes in your lifetime Or you have never used e-cigarettes, smoked or used any other tobacco products How can I join the Veritas Cohort Study?
